What can parents expect to see each night for homework for their fourth grader?
A. Students have homework of some type each night except on weekends. The only assignment that may involve weekends would be a project. Homework that is CONSISTENT EVERY WEEK is Spelling. Starting on each Friday of the week, students will be given their pretest and new word list for the following week. They can begin their Spelling story that is due the following Thursday of each week. Spelling on Monday consists of doing Phonetic Word Sorts.Tuesday nights students will write their Spelling words five times each, and on Wednesday night they are to write sentences with their ten words. If word definitions are not understood, please encourage Dictionary use. Students will also be doing daily activities using their Spelling words, and should understand their meaning by Wednesday night for homework. Spelling tests are on Thursday, and pretests are on Friday for the following week. Reading, Math, Writing, Social Studies, and Science homework is given on varied nights. There is usually some
