I use Mrs. Meyers all purpose cleaner on my wood floors and it works really well and I have some older floors too. However if your are really bad/dirty try using lestoil, it has removed anything and everything from my wood floors I just don’t use it much. Don’t use anything like Murphy’s oil soap that will build up.
