What can I expect from a ListenUP! Canada Audiologist?
At your first appointment, our Audiologist will ask you questions about your hearing difficulties and about your health history in general. He/she will complete a variety of hearing tests and assessments, using a sound-proof booth, and look in your ears with an otoscope. None of these procedures are invasive or painful. When the assessment is complete, our Audiologist will immediately share the results of your assessment and make appropriate recommendations for treatment, if necessary. We will ask general questions about your situation at home and work, as well as your leisure interests (your lifestyle profile) to determine your unique and personal hearing needs. This will be followed with a discussion of hearing instruments and what benefits they may provide to you. If appropriate, ListenUP!
