What can I do with Pitta bread?

0

A really good thing to do is take Pitta bread and toast it in the oven till it is warm and lightly crisp. Stuff the pocket part (you will notice a small hole at the corner of the bread, take a blunt knife and draw it round the edge of the bread and you will find that it opens up in to a sort of taco shell shaped pocket) with some ready dressed salad (my favourite is cucumber (peeled is best), iceberg lettuce ripped to shreds and chopped green peppers dressed in chili oil and balsamic vinegar) and some Turkish style stir-fried lamb (try and find a recipe on Google as I cannot give you my partner’s as it is a trade secret). More simply go to your local delicatessen or supermarket and buy a selection of meze dips such as Houmous, Taramasalata, Melintzanosalata and some Tzatsiki. Get some olives and some cured peppers as well and use the bread to dip, scoop and hold all of these delicious foods.
