What can I do with a B.S. in English/Lit/Creative Writing?
Whether the degree is a BA or BS has much less to do with what subject it is in and much to do with the specific degree requirements. I have a BS in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Performing Arts (most people consider that to be a BA subject). Creative Writing, communication, and journalism could easily be a BS. English Education could also easily be a BS. The finer points of whether a degree is a BA or BS isn’t all that important though – most people could care less about those differences and consider them equal (with very few exceptions such as psychology or sociology). A major in English is all about literature. If you want to do creative writing then make sure that’s the major. English majors don’t spend near as much time writing as many people think they do.
