What can I do to reduce residue build up from the Phenolic and Quat disinfectants on my floor?

3M’s recommendation is a rotational program using the #3 Neutral Floor Cleaner with either the #5 Quat Disinfectant Cleaner or the #18 Phenolic Disinfectant Cleaner. By utilizing the #3 Neutral Floor Cleaner, the floor finish life will be maximized. Continuous use of either the #5 or #18 disinfectant cleaners will result in build up of a sticky residue on the floor. Recommended rotation is: 5 days of Disinfectant/Cleaner followed by one day of Neutral Floor Cleaner. 3M Cornerstone Floor Finish is recommended as a durable floor finish to use with 3M TNF chemicals. Note: Always start the switchover to the 3M system by first cleaning the floor with the #3 Neutral Cleaner to remove any existing residuals that could interact with the 3M disinfectants.
