What can I do to maximize the life of my Super DigiBin and its lithium battery?
To maximize the life of the hard disk in the Super DigiBin and minimize the chances of data corruption, it is recommended that every month or two, backup all data to your PC or Mac computer and using the format utility in your computer, do a high-level format on the Super DigiBin’s hard disk. Then run a thorough scandisk on the drive. When everything checks out, copy your data back into the Super DigiBin. To maximize the life of the lithium battery, every six months, backup all data to your PC or Mac computer. Unplug the Super DigiBin from the computer. Using irrelevant data, perform as many transfers between the Super DigiBin’s hard disk and CF card until the battery is totally drained of power. Recharge the battery without interruption for at least 8 hours, reformat the hard disk of the Super DigiBin through your computer. (it is recommended not to do over 10 transfers at a time to avoid the Super DigiBin crashing due to overheating. Do ten transfer and let it sit and cool off before
