What can I do outside of flooding times to assist Council in maintaining the drain network?
Be observant. While City of Unley staff regularly check the local drain network we require your assistance. If you do observe a blocked pit near your property please inform us so as we can arrange for it to be cleaned. If you are the owner of a section of creek, ensure it is kept clean of debris. A large tree branch or an inappropriate tree can severely affect storm water flow during heavy rainfall and add to the potential flood risk.
