Tough one.. but my best advice is to show baby it’s ok by giving the family member a hug and showing your son that you love the person and it’s ok for him too.. My daughter was the same way… I basically got to the point where I would just tell people, she’s mama’s girl and prefers to stay with mama, she eventually grew out of it, but I completely understand how hard it can be… If there is someone he will go, for me it was my sister, I would slowly work with that other persons help and maybe leave baby in one room while I went in another and let that person try and entertain him for a few mins. Try to slip away w/o baby noticing but when he begins to cry come back and let him know that ev thing is ok…do this several times a day/week and hopefully eventually he will get used to the idea that mommy can walk away for a little but will return.. at this age he thinks once you walk away, you will never come back… Hope this helps some… Also, don’t blame yourself like it’s something y
