What can I do about anti-social behaviour in my neighbourhood?
Isolated incidents may not seem serious to the offenders but an accumulation can cause misery and distress for individuals and communities. People often may not realise their behaviour causes distress. The good news is, across Blackburn and Darwen, there are various organisations and community groups tackling anti-social behaviour and its causes. Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council are working closely with partners such as the police and other agencies to prevent incidents, change behaviour and support communities to make the borough a safe place to live, work and visit. Blackburn with Darwen has been chosen to take part in a new campaign to tackle anti-social behaviour. It is one of 50 action areas across the country that will lead the new TOGETHER initiative which encourages the whole community to tackle anti-social behaviour.
