What can I borrow through interlibrary loan / article delivery services?
Interlibrary loan requests are for books and articles that NJIT libraries do not own. We will also fill other type of requests such as dissertations, proceedings, patents, and reports. Non-print materials may be difficult to obtain as most library do not loan these items. Interlibrary loan will not order textbooks, multiple copies of a single title for classroom use nor can we order items for placement on reserve. How many items can I request? ? Is there a cost associated with submitting an interlibrary loan request? There is no limit to the number of requests you can submit at one time. However interlibrary loan staff will process up to 10 items (in priority order) per patron per day during peak times of the semester. Currently there is no charge for submitting an interlibrary loan request unless the cost of the loan or article exceeds $35. You will be notified before the request is made for charges that exceed $35. How long will it take to receive my interlibrary loan request? Books
