What can i argue about the hippie movement?
You could argue that the countercultural aesthetic preferences and disruptive tactics of the hippie movement actually worked against the policy changes, such as an end to the Viet Nam War, that they were trying to achieve. For example there was a famous protest on Wall St. staged by the hippies that resulted in a bunch of union hard hats coming out to beat them up. The hippies often made enemies out of potential allies because many other people didn’t like their looks and methods.
