What can blepharoplasty improve?
As we get older, the skin around our eyes stretches and sags, which can create a tired and aged appearance. Blepharoplasty corrects this problem and creates a more rested and revitalized look. Blepharoplasty can also reduce puffiness or bags underneath the eyes created by excess fat in the lower eyelids. Occasionally, under-eye bags may also be present in young individuals due to genetics reasons. Blepharoplasty can dramatically improve their appearance. Additionally, blepharoplasty may be effective in improving vision in cases where excess skin around the eyes disrupts visual fields. Blepharoplasty does not, however, improve dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, or sagging eyebrows.
