What can be done to prevent problems with outgassing of foams?

Alcan Airex recommends storing the foam after it is being cut, perforated, grooved etc. at room temperature for at least one month, or, alternatively, at 50 deg. C for one week. It is important that this is done after processing the foam. It appears that applying a vacuum does not further reduce the necessary storage time. Increasing the temperature increases the risk of warping of the foam. For further information, please see Alcan Airex processing guidelines.
