What can be done to improve the BER of a new/proposed dwelling?
BER Ratings & Solutions carry out a provisional BER Certificate which informs the developer/individual of the rating that will be achieved prior to the Construction of the dwelling. BER Ratings & Solutions then carry out a final BER Certificate once the dwelling is constructed ensuring that all materials specified on the plans were incorporated in the construction phase. BER Ratings & Solutions also provide a unique consultancy package whereby once the provisional BER rating is carried out, we inform the developer/individual of suggested improvements which will further increase the energy rating of the home, for example, increased thickness of insulation, alternative heating systems, etc.
