What can be done to expand existing and foster new industries?
More attention should be given to those who have initiative and wish to establish a business in the district. Our CBD though small is already full, with no apparent available commercial land to expand. This causes a mass exodus weekly to other locations to shop. This is not helping local business as one travels to another shopping location, one tends to purchase other items that ARE available locally, thus affectly those businesses who are already struggling with freight costs etc. I would like to see incentives provided such as similar to say the scheme through centrelink for unemployed wishing to find a business. The biggest problem however that debars many from this endeavour is the distance needed to travel to attend training courses necessary to be undertaken before any funding is made available. We need to re-structure our industry, community and above all our ‘out-look on life’, however to encourage involvement from our community we need to have assistance from state and federal
