What can be done about a neighbor who has numerous animals and/or does not keep their enclosures clean?
(a) It shall be unlawful to keep any animal in such a manner so as to disturb the peace, comfort or health of any person residing within the city. Any person violating any provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a class one misdemeanor. Alternatively, the city may enforce this chapter by imposing civil penalties not to exceed the maximum fine of $2,500.00 For a class one misdemeanor. (e) The premises upon which animals, livestock and poultry are kept shall always be sanitary and subject to inspection and regulation by the enforcement agent.
