For making your cake moister, there are a couple of things you can do. 1. Batters made with oil usually tend to be moister and less crumbly. Therefore, if your mix asks for oil, add a little more. Or… 2. Add 2 Tablespoons of “sour cream.” I too have used “apple sauce” or “mayo” for moistness. The best result is when you…experiment. Practice makes perfect. Tip: Whatever the time calls for when your cake is to be done….check it 5-10 minutes ahead of time for doneness. Not all oven temps are the same.
