If the CBC unit intends to issue a denial the person has the right to submit a written explanation as to why the application should not be denied. In addition the person may obtain, review and seek correction of his or her criminal history record information in accordance with procedures established by the Division for Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) and/or the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). OMRDD must be kept informed of the status of a request to correct criminal history record information.
