What campus services require a UCD LoginID and unique password? What can I do now that I have an account?
A variety of services at UC Davis use the UCD LoginID. Some services, such as DaFIS, campus POP service for email, and general Unix logins use the UCD LoginID in conjunction with a unique or local password. Other services, such as SISWEB/Banner, central campus e-mail, SmartSite, the campus modems, and secured news and web services use the UCD LoginID and a UCD Kerberos Password. When you created your account, you received a UCD LoginID, a Kerberos password, a UCD MailID, and the following ServiceIDs: • IKRB: With this ServiceID you can access services requiring a Kerberos password. Some services requiring a Kerberos password also require a special ServiceID, (e.g., Banner and the modem pools) while others do not. • ILAB: With this ServiceID you can access the Information & Educational Technology PC and Macintosh labs. • IPOP: With this ServiceID you can access your e-mail using any application (e.g., Thunderbird, Outlook, Apple Mail) that can access a POP or IMAP server. • a ServiceID
