What campus-level support and direction is available for program and department leaders implementing this initiative?
The University Taskforce Committee on Expected Learning Outcomes, co-lead by Gerrit Gong and John Tanner, advises and helps implement learning outcomes campus-wide. It consists of university, college and department administrators, faculty and students. In addition, the University Curriculum Council helps disseminate information to colleges, identifies implementation questions requiring clarification, and shares best practices. Finally, campus teaching and learning support centers (Faculty Center and Center for Instructional Design) have assigned staff members as Teaching and Learning Consultants for each college. The names of these college consultants are listed in the “Help” section of Learningoutcomes.byu.edu.
