What came first, neon genesis evangelion manga or anime?
As Marthinus said, it’s usually the manga that comes before the anime, but there are sometimes large differences between manga and anime, such as interaction between the characters, or most obviously in FMA, where they went in completely different directions altogether. The only manga I can think of that came after the anime is vision of escaflowne.
