What Caller ID Blocking options are available?

Caller ID lets people know the number of whom is calling before answering the phone. However, the person or business making the call can block the number from being revealed. Two Caller ID Blocking options are available at no cost to you. Selective or Per Call Blocking lets you choose when to block your number by dialing *67 before making the call. Complete Blocking (or per line) prevents your number from passing on every call. If you have activated Complete Blocking on your wireless phone (by dialing * 65), then you can deactivate it for all calls by dialing *85 or deactivate it on a per call basis by dialing *82 plus the number to be unblocked. You should know that Per Line Blocking will not block calls made to toll-free numbers (800, 888, 877, etc.), 900 and 976 numbers and 911 services.
