getamap has been fully tested using the most popular browsers: IE6 (with service pack 3), IE7, and IE8 – get the latest version free from Microsoft or use Windows Update. Safari version 3 or above Firefox version 3+ Google Chrome version 9 for Windows XP, Windows 7 and Vista Opera version 11 • Some Chrome browsers can freeze when getamap loads If getamap is freezing or hanging on the loading screen when using the Chrome browser, it may be because chrome is looking for updates. To check and rectify this: • Click on the spanner icon at the top right on the chrome browser, this will bring up a menu of options. • Select ‘About Google Chrome’. • If Chrome is looking for updates, the loading screen will still be displayed; when it has found an update, it will ask you to install and restart chrome. • When you have updated to the latest version and restarted chrome, the loading screen will be replaced with the log in screen.
