What browser specific features does FireFox offer for web developers?
Adding web features that they don’t expect other browser vendors would ever implement kind of goes against their philosophy of trying to improve the web platform. Browsers like Firefox and Chrome will sometimes add non-standard prototype features as a way of helping evaluate options for standards (this happened with local storage, and with 3D), but with the goal of getting to a common standard that everyone will adopt. Deliberately trying to fragment the web into a bunch of sites each “best viewed” in one specific browser, however, isn’t a goal for most browser vendors.
