The Mastiff was bred with an Anatolian Mastiff to create a tighter lip line resulting in less drooling. American Mastiff is 7/8 Mastiff and 1/8 Anatolian Mastiff. All current AMs are derived from purebred AM mothers and fathers (dams and sires), with no further introduction of Anatolian breeding.
