What breed/species of snake is good/best for a first time owner?

I disagree with ball pythons, they are very stressful to the owner if they do not eat. I would not go with one of those. Instead I’d go with a corn snake for a few reasons: -Manageable size. Normally get bigger than ball pythons but slim snakes. -Docile to handle -Easy to feed (But never ever feed live rodents–frozen ONLY) -Cheap to buy -Hardy -Not as prone to stress (like ball pythons are) -VERY beautiful!! In fact I’ve got another corn snake on my wishlist <33. I don't know anybody that regrets owning their corn snake. Otherwise you could go for a milk snake: -Small -No feeding problems (again, only frozen mice!) -Pretty docile once they "get used to you" and stuff -Very beautiful, come in many different color combs of 'red black and yellow' like the venomous coral snake except they are constrictors and non-venomous -Cheap But I wouldn't go down the ball python route for a few reasons: -Hard to go to a pet shop and find a captive-bred ball python. Otherwise you must purchase online
