Your cat will hate any new dog at first. Once the cat has proved its dominance then it will probably ignore the dog. Just get a mongrel from the dog pound. Best wishes.

There is not a breed of dog that will get along with your cat the best. It depends on how friendly the dog you get is. It depends on how good the dog is with other animals and depends on how shy your cat is. If your cat is not shy and your dog is friendly they will be fine together. To get your pets used to other animals bring them togethet and play with them, they will be fine!!! My auntie got a black labradoor and has a cat and they get on fine and I have a border collie who gets on fine with my new kittens so don’t worry about the breed of dog you get!!
