I have found they are pretty similar with Microwave popcorn it just depends on the wattage on your microwave oven. Jiffy Pop says you need to preheat for 3-4 minutes and then the popping portion is 2-5 minutes. That is slower and more hassle than the Microwave popcorn. Even though Jiffy Pop is probably more fun to make.

I have found that Jiffy Pop pops the fastest in popcorn. It has to do with the direct heat and the aluminum foil pan that it comes in. It’s such a yummy treat and kids love to do it themselves!
