The cities of Sodom and Gomorrah are mentioned in other places than Genesis, in association with sins of omission and commission, and of the heart as well as the flesh, and is often used as an example of judgment of the wicked. Sodom was one of a group of five towns. In Ezekiel 16:48-50 God compares Jerusalem to Sodom, saying “Sodom never did what you and your daughters have done.
