I did the same course a few years ago. The equiptment needed will vary from college to college and they should send you a pack with equiptment included reccomended books, however I will add below the main items I got most use out of Hat (to current standard) Body Protecter Riding gloves Riding boots (leather boots, leather gaiters) we were allowed swede chaps for duties but had to be leather for riding, however this may not be the case where your going shirts, polo shirts, tie grooming kit, hair net, jodpurs (navy, black, beige ) As for books these are the books I used to most… – Equine Nutrition and Feeding – David Frape – The Horse: Fitness and Competition – Julie Brega – Equine Exercise Physiology – k.
