The farebox will read $1 bills only and it cannot make change. If you have $5 or $10 bills, you can get change at the terminal. Change for $20 bills will ONLY be given when a purchase is being made. There is a change machine at the terminal that will give you quarters in exchange for $1 bills – no other bills are accepted by the machine.
