What bike racks will fit my 2001 Nissan Maxima w/ spoiler?
I am looking for a rack that will hold 2 bikes on the back of my 2001 Nissan Maxima. The car has a spoiler, so it seems that there may be issues with a typical trunk rack. A: I suggest you go to your local bike shop and ask them for advice. Most shops will be happy to pull a rack out of the box and see if it is going to fit. Personally, I don’t much care for a trunk rack. I used one for years and was happy to finally replace it. A trunk rack chews up your paint, makes it very difficult to get in and out of your trunk and unless you get the straps perfectly tensioned will vibrate in the wind. You may want to think about a hitch mounted rack, if a trunk rack won’t fit. Hope this helps.
