What benefits will sellers (partners) derive from the Windows Azure marketplace?
The Windows Azure Marketplace provides sellers/partners a channel to promote their products to qualified set of developer and IT Professional customers. Sellers can promote applications, components, web services, templates, data streams, professional services, and other products, subject to approval by the Windows Azure Marketplace team. Sellers are provided with an online dashboard that shows business analytics about their listings in the marketplace, and lets them manage their listings. Beginning PDC 10, sellers will have transactional capability in the DataMarket section of the marketplace. We will be expanding transactional capability to the entire marketplace in CY 2011.
