What benefits, if any am i entitled to?
Your girlfriend would be entitled to Job-seekers Allowance. If she gets a flat she would be entitled to Housing Benefit and Council Tax benefit while on means tested benefit (JSA). She will have to let them know you are going to live with her and you work, this may affect her claim. When it comes to you, you may be entitled to Council tax benefit and maybe housing benefit. You should look into working tax credits also. It is not a good idea to move in with someone who will be relying on you. Make sure you know what you are getting yourself into before you make any decisions. When you say your own home it would have been nice to knwo if you meant mortgage as I could have possibly given more advice.
you’d get nothing, your girlfriend would have to sign on and receive jobseekers allowance but other then that you are not entitled to any help unless you can’t meet your rent costs but even then they would question why you would move into a place you couldn’t afford to rent. £230 is enough to live on, i did on £150. Your girlfriend needs to get a job and help out a little i guess!
