What benefits do I get from joining Shir Tikvah?
Because we are a new and small community, you have the opportunity to help shape our congregation. Every member is important and welcome, and we all know and enjoy one another. Everyone’s voice is heard. Although we are a small community we offer a range of programs that will stimulate your intellect. Classes in Beginning Hebrew will be offered for adults who would like to be able to read the actual Hebrew rather than transliteration during Shabbat and Holiday services. An adult education class “Great Moments in Jewish History” will examine how a tiny tribe of illiterate Hebrew nomads grew into the sophisticated world people that we know today. You will be joining a community of like-minded people who share a common world view and philosophy of life. You will no longer be forced to read and say words that you do not believe, but can enjoy a spiritual experience that truly reflects your values. 3.
