What benefits do advisors receive?
A majority of the benefits of serving as a Phi Theta Kappa advisor are intangible including helping students grow as individuals, networking with colleagues, and broadening one’s base of knowledge with Phi Theta Kappa programs. Reflecting on his experience as an advisor, Jody Spooner of Chipola Junior College in Florida says, “I work with the brightest, most motivated students on my campus. I work to inspire them to achieve the highest ideals in scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship.
