What behaviour does the robot exhibit?
We can observe its behaviour in a number of ways, in its shadow trading and in its selected trades. Generally when markets are unsettled and trading signal are weak or conradictory it sits on it hands and chooses to do nothing. By doing nothing it does not select any of the identified shadow trades. These go on in the background all the time. When markets are volatile but there is stability in the volatility, as seen in strong and supportive trading signals, it regularly makes selections and chooses to trade often. Sometimes within minutes of completing a sale. In bull markets the frequencey of trading is higher than in bear markets. The frequency of trading is also influenced by how risk averse the robot is instructed to be, when it is being ultra cautious it may only trade five or six times a year. A good risk/reward balance has it attempting to trade 42 time a year.
