What Beatles songs have drug references?
While it is undeniable that the Beatles took varieties of drugs during their career, starting with “prellys” (uppers) in Hamburg, marijuana during “Help”, LSD and other hallucinogenics after 1965, there is not a shred of evidence that any of their songs *promote* drug-taking or drug use. Nevertheless, many first-generation Beatles fans recall being inspired by what they found in the music and lifestyle of the Fabs to try drugs themselves, almost as if the Beatles were giving them permission to do so.
