Three things are needed in order to do selective plating. First, a power pack (rectifier), which converts the alternating current from your outlet into the direct current necessary for plating. Second, preparatory and plating tools are needed to apply the preparatory and plating solutions to the area to be plated. And finally, the solutions used to prepare and plate the part.
