Tourism is definitely increasing to Antarctica. Take a look at the first 3 links below to see all the vacation packages available. Most of the packages involve cruise ships that take people to coastlines to see penguins. Remember the recent penguin movies that came out like “Happy Feet” and “March of the Penguins”? This is one of the things that is driving tourism to Antarctica, along with stories and pictures of the amazing beauty of that place. The biggest problem people worry about is that this tourism will cause stress to the delicate ecosystem in Antarctica. (I include a link to an article about this below.)
