What Bacterial Infections Could Cause Skin Problems?
Cellulitis A streptococcal or staphylococcal infection of a wound usually causes cellulitis, which most often occurs on the legs. Usually, the first sign is a small injury or infection between the toes. Possible symptoms include swelling, tenderness, warm skin, bruising, blisters, fever, and headache. Folliculitis, Boils, and Carbuncles Bacterial infection can cause folliculitis, which is the inflammation of hair follicles. Tender, swollen areas called boils can develop around inflamed hair follicles. Carbuncles are clusters of boils.
