What backup methods are available?
The backup sequence is as follows: for image-level backups, the first backup is a full backup of all files or the entire system image; subsequent backups of the same data are incremental. For file-level backups, the customer selected will be backed up. In terms of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10, this means that the available backup schemes are: Back up now (manual start), Back up later (manual start or start on schedule), Simple (start on schedule). An additional backup scheme that is available only for online storage is Initial seeding. This is the Simple scheme with local destination for the first full backup. To use this scheme, you need a license for the Initial Seeding option. After creating “Initial seeding” backup one needs to send the disk over to Acronis. Once the archive with a full backup is uploaded to online storage, you can set up a “Simple” scheme to continue backing up to that same archive, doing only incremental over Internet.
