What authors influnced Ted Hughess literature and who did Ted Hughes influence with his literature?
I don’t really know much about Ted Hughes. But I’ll give you the one big answer: Sylvia Plath. He was married to her until she died. He was the poet laureate of England, she was a poetic genius, so it stands to reason that these two very creative poets had an awesome symbiotic relationship that bred great literature. Their children are both awesome poets! After Plath died, Hughes was in charge of her work, and he ordered and edited them, and released it to the public. So he had a very direct hand and influence on her. He never really talked much about her dying. He came out with Birthday Letters pretty late in his life, which is basically about Plath – it has arguments with the voice in her poetry and is heavily influenced by her own body of work. I’d have to say that should constitute the bulk of your answer.
