What audio formats can be carried via the HDMI connection?

0

The HDMI connection runs to the 1.2 convention, and the audio formats it supports include DD & DTS (both at 1.5Mbps), 2 channel PCM and also WMA-Pro (supported in some amps such as Pioneer). The connection is not HDMI 1.3 and therefore cannot output 5.1 PCM, TrueHD or DD+ sound formats.
