What attractions does Egypt offer related to religious history and issues of faith?
Egypt takes pride in the fact that it is the only country to have the distinct honour of hosting the Holy Family during their flight from Herod. The Holy Family stayed about four years in Egypt, blessing its people, its land and its Nile. It was exhausting journey, where they covered about 2000 kilometre, mostly on foot. Egypt is blessed by God who said Blessed be Egypt my people (Isaiah 19:25). History has been incredibly generous to Egypt, which has been vital in the Pharaonic era as well as the three major religions – Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. Egypt is one of a few countries where all three religions have co-existed peacefully for centuries.
