Midsummer Music Festival in Candler Park on June 20 Posted on | June 17, 2009 | On Saturday, June 20, you’ll want to be in Candler Park. At least, I want to be in Candler Park. The Midsummer Music Festival will take place there this weekend. It’s free & features performances by Guster, Rusted Root, Jupiter Coyote, Sonia Leigh, Honey Island Swamp Band, Sol Junky, & Webster Humpage. The music gets underway at noon and it lasts until 10:45 p.m. There’ll be a Kids Zone, an Artist Market, a Go Green Zone, and a 5K Road Race (registration fee is $19/person through June 18, $23/person day of the race). If dad likes music, take him to the Red Stripe MidSummer Music Fest in Candler Park. 929 Dave FM and Sports Radio 790 The Zone are hosting the festival, featuring Webster Humpage, Sol Junky, Guster, and others. The festival will begin with the 790 The Zone 5K that benefits the Candler Park Neighborhood Organization at 10:00 am. The registration fee, when you register this Saturday, is $23.00 and includes a tee. Check out the festival’s offerings while listening to the Webster Humpage band at 12:00 pm. Kids will appreciate the Kids Zone, complete with interactive games, moon walks, magicians and face painting. Adults will enjoy 40 vendors who are scheduled to sell their wares in the Sam Flax Artist Market.
