What ATC services are provided to aircraft operating in Class E?
In Class E airspace, the following services are provided by ATC: • separation between IFR flights in receipt of an airways clearance, mutual traffic information on IFR flight planned aircraft operating VFR, and traffic information on known VFR flights as far as practicable; • mutual traffic information to IFR flight planned aircraft operating VFR about other IFR and traffic information on known VFR flights as far as is practicable; and • traffic information to radar-identified VFR flights, which are in receipt of a radar information service about other observed traffic.
