What assistance can First American provide with the LOMA process?
FEMA encourages property owners and communities to be involved in any amendments or revisions to its flood maps. First American is available to assist you through every step of this process. We can provide you with the LOMA application, a list of the required documentation and FEMA contact information. Much of this information is available in our Flood Compliance Kit. Once the application is completed and submitted to FEMA, we are available to answer any questions you or your customer may have. We can even contact FEMA or the engineering contractor reviewing the file for FEMA to follow up throughout the process. If you need us to, we can complete the application, compile the needed documentation, and submit the packet to FEMA for review on behalf of your customer. We will also follow-up with FEMA or the contractor throughout the review process. All we would need from you or your borrower is an Elevation Certificate, a recorded deed (if available), and a boundary survey (if available).
