What aspects of their experiences prior to Sun City are important to serving on our Board?
The Board deals with many and complex issues. As we say in Texas, it ain’t a place for amateurs. You truly need representatives with the experience, temperament, independence and skill sets to handle the issues, the work load, and represent the community. 2. What contributions have they made to Sun City and/or in Georgetown while they have lived here? Look at what they have done, because what they have done is a very good guide to what their true intent is and what they will be able to contribute. 3. What would they do if elected to the Board? Are they independent and coming to serve the community, or just promoting an agenda handed them. 4. What kind of message and service can you expect from them? Look at who is supporting and promoting them and ask yourself, “Do I really want a continuation of what those individuals represent?” Following my own advice, I have done the above.
